Nicki Micheaux
Wocstar Media selected actor, writer, and director Nicki Micheaux as its 2024 Wocstar Media Fellow. Nicki embodies the creative entrepreneur who uses their talent to take people on powerful journeys. Nicki wrote, produced, and directed “Summer of Violence” to spotlight a black woman’s coming-of-age story.
Summer of Violence is out in the theaters on September 27, 2004.
DR. RON SIMONS
Wocstar Media's Fellow, Dr. Ron Simons, was a celebrated five-time Tony Award-nominated, four-time Tony Award-winning, and four-time Sundance Film Festival-selected producer.
Dr. Ron Simons passed away on June 12, 2024.
He remains a cherished member of the Wocstar family and a beloved Wocstar Media Fellow.
During a recent Wocstar Media Lunch n' Learn, Dr. Simon shared beautifully about his inspirational career and the transformative power of storytelling.
