HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!
Black History Month was created as a “celebration of African Americans and their achievements and roles in US History” by noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month.
This year’s theme for Black History Month is Black resistance - African Americans have fought and continue to fight oppression every single day.
Let’s celebrate Black joy, empowerment, and #resistance not only this month but all year!
